Vina Eguia Rioja Tempranillo 2015

Viña Eguia Tempranillo is a cherry red color with strong intensity. It brings a bold red fruit aroma to the nose along with scents of vanilla, coconut, licorice and oak. The palate is fresh, vibrant and elegant leaving a pleasant finish.

Winemaker Notes
Selected grapes from several locations throughout all of Rioja. Soils are poor and suitable, a clay-limestone type. The vines have a medium age of 18 to 20 years and are grown using the gobelet and trellis-trained system. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel, temperature controlled vats for fourteen days with daily pump-overs in order to enhance the color and concentration of the wine. This is a wine is aged in barrels in their third year.

Serving Hints
This wine goes very well with all types of meats, especially baked pork and grilled beef. It is ideal with Spanish tapas and cured meats and cheese.
