Vignerons de Buxy Bourgogne Cote Chalonnaise Chardonnay 2020

Grown on the limestone hilltops between Buxy and Saint Gengoux le National, this Côte Chalonnaise Chardonnay is fermented and initially aged in stainless before being transferred to oak for 3-6 months depending on the vintage.

With a fine pale golden hue, the nose is fresh and fruit-driven with lots of citrus and lemon peel when young and with hints of honeysuckle and hawthorn.

Crisp and refreshing when young, the locals consider this to be at its prime after seven years — we’ve just never seen a bottle last this long!
