The Portuguese anis escarchado is distinguishable from other anis cordials by the aniseed branch that is inserted into every bottle. The sugar in the anis crystalizes around the branch giving it the look of a crystalized tree.This cordial may be mixed into specialty cocktails or served very chilled on its own. The Montanha brand is produced in the city of Anadia, Portugal by Caves da Montanha, one of the most prestigious wineries in Portugal.

Beyond happy

Cracked bottles

We love this product, but we had one more cracked bottle and lost another half bottle of Anis. That’s a total of 3 cracked bottles in the shipment we received in December. So far, we haven’t seen any cracks with this most recent shipment. Fingers crossed that they will be fine. Thank you for the small credit you provided for the first 2 bottles. I appreciate that.
