Venta Morales Tempranillo Organic 2017

Venta Morales: 
Grapes come from 30 to 50 year old Tempranillo vines planted in Calcareous Limestone and clay with sand and slate in the Eastern side of D.O. La Mancha. Scant rainfall in this Mediterranean climate force the vines to 'go deep'. The extensive roots offer more complexity to the fruit and to the wine.

The 2017 Venta Morales is 100% Tempranillo raised in stainless steel. Deep crimson-colored, it emits aromas of spice box and fragrant black cherry. On the palate licorice and other black fruits emerge leading to a finish with no hard edges. Drink this excellent value over the next 2-3 years.

Bright purple. Lively aromas of fresh red berries, cherry and oak spice, with notes of smoky herbs and sandalwood adding complexity. On the oaky side but offers good depth and flavors of creamy raspberry and blueberry.

Becomes tangier with air and finishes with clinging sweetness and good length.
