Vandal 'Gonzo Combat Rouge' 2020 |
I don't think you could get a more random wine than this, made by three anonymous New Zealand wine makers, it's unfiltered, unfined, no sulphur and is a blend of Pinot Noir and Viognier.
Supple and cloudy with nice sweet, alluring, spicy raspberry and cherry fruit. No sulphites until bottling. There’s a juicy, grippy edge to the fruit with some nice spicy hints.

im shocked.
in what you thought this ‘blend’ would work is beyond me. i am a huge fan of 2/3 varietials listed on your bottle. what blend was created is not i think 100% truthful on your bottle. i think i tasted/ smelled bruised/ broken hearted/ misused fruits. the grapes in your blend, i argue. i think you are both untrustworthy and misguided in terms of your winemaking. cheers to you, and this bananas of a wine im tasting - bad fruit with old licorice. - weirded out somm
