Umberto Cesari Bianco Moma 2016 |
Umberto Cesari’s MOMA (“My Own MAsterpiece”) collection is a tribute to the art world and currently features the work “Paper Glass” by Elena Valentini on the label. The label was selected through the My Own Masterpiece art competition for students at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Bologna and at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Ravenna.
After a soft pressing, MOMA Bianco is fermented at low temperatures and aged in stainless steel. A fruity wine, with hints of pear and apple, this wine is well balanced with crisp acidity and has an elegant finish. A wonderful accompaniment to hors d’oeuvres and fish, this wine should be enjoyed young.
60% Trebbiano, 40% Chardonnay
A tribute to the art world, MOMA - short for My Own Masterpiece - is Umberto Cesari’s masterful blend. Each year, the winery holds a competition at the local art school to select the work of a student whose creation will grace the label for the vintage.
Tasting Notes:
Appealing fruit aromas with hints of pear and apple. A soft, creamy component can be attributed to the Chardonnay, but is balanced by the fresh fruit fl avors of the Trebbiano that give the wine a crisp acidity. Best when consumed within a year or two of the vintage, MOMA Bianco pairs well with raw shellfi sh or sushi, grilled seafood or creamy cheese.
