The wine is utterly classic on both the nose and palate, with the bouquet wafting from the glass in a black fruity blend of sweet dark berries, cassis, a complex base of black minerality, cigar wrapper, a touch of currant leaf, grilled meats, just a touch of stem tones, cedar and a smoky topnote.
On the palate the wine is full-bodied and very transparent in profile, with a stunning core of fruit, great soil inflection, ripe, buried tannins and superb backend energy on the long, complex and seamlessly balanced finish.
