All grapes for this Gewürztraminer come from the location Söll near Tramin. The location Söll extends above the village of Tramin and is nestled at the foot of the mountain range around the Roen. In addition, during the growing season of the grapes, the whole area is visited daily by the wind "Ora", which aerates the vineyards well from the south of Lake Garda, daily in the early afternoon.
After the harvest, the grapes were delivered in smaller containers and then pressed after a short maceration period to capture the varietal notes of the variety. The must is fermented in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature (18 - 20 degrees C °).
The name Nussbaumer was derived from the cultivation area, the Nussbaumerhof in Söll, which, with its 700-year history of wine making, is one of Tramin's oldest farms. The wine presents itself in a bright intense straw yellow. In the glass, the fragrance notes of rose petals, cinnamon, tropical fruits and carnations unfold. Quite high alcohol and extract values, as well as the relatively low acidity give the Nussbaumer its special kind.
We recommend beautifully matured soft cheese and goose liver pate. It also goes well with lobster and crab, as well as Asian, spicy dishes.
