Totara Pinot Noir 2015 |
Deep ruby/ garnet colour. Dark cherry, wild thyme and spice with a hint of candle smoke to the bouquet. A rich and lively Otago wine with juicy acid and fine tannins. Dark cherry and spice characters are complimented by smoky French oak. Soft and approachable, before leading to a velvety, lingering finish. A gourmande's delight, will gladly accompany roast guinea fowl or seared and caramelized chicken liver bruschetta.
Vivid ruby red color in the glass. Bright and lively on the nose showing cherry, cranberry and savory spice aromas. The palate is silky, with a mixture of berry fruits up front along with underlying notes of sweet herbs, spice and earth. A pure finish, with excellent length, nicely frames each component. An overall profile that combines the best of Burgundy and Willamette Valley. Drink now and over the next 5 years, paired with salmon, chicken, game birds, and anything with truffles.
Semi translucent bright dark red colour with a crimson hue. Fragrant scents of crunchy red cherries and strawberries overlaid by dried herbs are followed by stalky cedar notes. Light and savoury the palate has flavours of red cherries and strawberries over subtle herb infusions and spicy cedar. Finishes dry with good freshness and finely grained tannins. Aftertaste of crunchy red cherries, strawberries and spicy cedar
