DESCRIPTION

TASTING NOTES
COLOR: a peach petal pink.
AROMA: both intense and delicate with fragrant notes of peaches, roses, and cherry blossoms.
FLAVOR: a fresh and balanced wine, highly savory and with much aromatic persistence.

Calafuria takes its name from the over 700 bays on the Apulian peninsula. The region has a long tradition in the production of rosé wines made with Negroamaro, a variety that best expresses its full potential near the sea. Our rosé is produced from vineyards that extend across the Adriatic coastline for over a kilometer.

Calafuria wine of Tormaresca winery is a rosè wine made from 100% Negroamaro grapes that are selected by hand, gently de-stemmed and pressed. The must is placed in stainless steel tanks at a temperature of 10 °C, in order to obtain a natural decantation. This is followed by the engagement of the alcoholic fermentation which is conducted at low temperatures (16 °C) to maintain intact the primary aromas. A brief period of aging in steel and 4 months of aging in bottle.

Calafuria has a bright pink colour with coral reflections. Bouquet: Delicate and fruity, full, intense and persistent, with notes of red fruits and raspberry. Taste: Fresh and fruity, perfectly balanced between softness and acidity.
