The 2014 Tolosa Estate Pinot Noir is comprised of a blend of five different clones of Pinot Noir from separate blocks from the winery's Edna Ranch Vineyard. Aromas of dried strawberry and red cherry are accented by oaky notes of cedar, cinnamon, allspice, and coco powder. Flavors of red cherry, black plum and pomegranate are framed by crisp acidity and balancing tannins. Pair with a variety of grilled seafood and meats.
Bright red cherry color foreshadows aromas of dried strawberry and red cherry accentuated by a complex combination of cedar, cinnamon, allspice and coco powder. Flavors of red cherry, black plum and pomegranate are framed by a crisp acidity. A full array of tannin along with quince and tart cherry lingers on the finish.
This wine represents a blend of five different clones of Pinot Noir from separate blocks of our Edna Ranch Vineyard estate. Each year the blend changes based upon the wines, whose combination results in a wine with exceptional character. This vintage was aged for 11 months in French oak barrels with approximately 30% of them being new.
