An epidemic of apocalyptic proportions has swept the globe, causing the dead to rise and feed on the living. In a matter of months, society has crumbled; there is no government, no grocery stores, no mail delivery, no cable TV.
Luckily there is wine…(Sorry Carl, you're not 21 yet.)
The Wine:
A wine to sink your teeth into, The Walking Dead Blood Red Blend drips with intense, bold flavor. The wine opens with an inviting nose of raspberries, cranberry, cherry and melted milk chocolate. The wine is robust with unyielding character, notes of ripe mixed berry, mocha and toasted spice which flesh out the structured tannins. The we llintegrated oak offers a warm vanilla note and leads to a long-l asting, seamless finish with balanced acidity.
Winemaking:
The Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec and Petit Verdot grapes were picked at optimum ripeness and sent directly to the winery. Once in the winery, the grapes were cold soaked for two days followed by fermentation. The different varieties and lots were kept separate through the fermentation process and only came together when the winemaker assembled the final blend before bottling. The wine was aged for 11 months in a combination of French and American oak to integrate flavors, soften tannins and enhance the texture of the final wine.
