This wine made from 100% Gamay, offers a Flattering nose of cherry notes with spicy hints. This fruity Beaujolais-Villages pairs perfectly with deli meat grilled poultry and all cheeses. Cheese and Cracker MonsieurPairs with Cheese and CrackersBeaujolais Village Gamay24 round water crackers¼ pound cured ham, sliced thin¼ pound Swiss cheese, sliced thin2 tablespoons gruyere cheese, gratedPreheat broiler to high. Place 12 water crackers on a baking sheet. Cut the ham slices into quarters, and the Swiss cheese slices into eighths. Layer one piece of Swiss cheese, one piece of ham, and another piece of Swiss cheese on each cracker. Place another cracker on top, sprinkle with a small amount of grated gruyere, and place under broiler for two minutes, until gruyere begins to brown and Swiss cheese begins to melt. Remove to a platter and serve. Makes four appetizer servings.
