The Grapes of Roth Merlot carries on the tradition of the finest quality established by prior vintages. It is a powerful Merlot with intense, concentrated flavors balanced with great elegance, finesse and depth. This wine has tremendous aging potential. The perfect match with lamb, Long Island duck or venison.
Oaky swaths of cocoa and coffee cover a core of dark plum sauce and cherry on the nose. There's a firm feel to the structured palate, with a dense mix of dark fruit lightened by shots of tart cranberry, and a firm hug of tannins keeping everything in check.
