Teperberg Merlot Essence 2014

In 1880, Zeev Teperberg ( ^2nd generation) joined his father Avraham. Together they develop the cellar in Jerusalem and thus manage to overcome difficult times.

After 30 years of expansion, they move from a small family winery to one of Israel's most important and promising wineries.

The Merlot Essence is a blend of two highly complementary vineyards. The first, located in the Valley of Ella, gives the wine all its velvety, while the second, located in the Mountains of Ephraim, brings him power and structure.

After 18 months of aging in oak barrels, the final blend gives a wine with an intense red color, cherry and strawberry aromas, with a sweet smell of tobacco and pine. The structure is sweet, offering a nice length with notes of oak and ripe fruit.
