Gritty aromas of inky black fruit and asphalt come with a touch of grilled beef. A layered palate offers lightly herbal black fruit flavors that are spicy and a touch rustic and wild. Like the book suggests it should be, this Monastrell is full, dark and jammy.
Great black fruit that is fully ripe without a hint of overripeness. This is a big, rich wine. Rather fine and generous tannins help it carry the high-ish alcohol. Almost silky at the long finish.
