• 100% Syrah • From a single Bokkeveld shale site on the Gabriëlskloof property, which has a high clay component • SE facing vineyard, in which the wind has a significant influence on the terroir • The fruit was hand picked into small crates and transferred directly into a cold room to remain overnight • 50% destemmed • Fermented with wild yeasts in small, open top fermenters with extended post-fermentation maceration • Aged in 500L barrels for 18 months, 10% new French oak • 3,296 bottles produced 3,296 bottles produced
