Like the Bayo Oscuro from the same year, the grapes used to make the 2019 Lucero Syrah came from the 1999-planted hillside of decomposed granite. This wine is an exemplar of a true cold-weather Syrah.
It contains essences of blackberries and blueberries, with smooth and polished tannins.
Herbal notes and acidity interact with a fruit-forward expression to create a wine that is more relaxed on the palate. This wine is perfect to taste and enjoy now.
