Standing Stone Vineyards Chardonnay 2017

This Chardonnay, sourced from our 1972 plantings, is fresh and exuberant with both a broad mid-palate and crisp finish. A small portion of the wine was barrel fermented and briefly aged in new large format and older smaller barrels with the remainder of the blend being stainless steel fermented. This imparts a delicate richness to the wine that is balanced by driving acidity and minerality. Exceedingly food-friendly, pair this wine with everything from mild cheeses to seasoned poultry or enjoy on its own

Judiciously balanced notes of toast, spice and vanilla augment crisp red apple and lemon tones in this brisk Chardonnay. Cutting minerality on the midpalate lends an invigorating freshness through the finish. Drink now through 2019.
