Winemaker's Notes
The asparagus wine in South Tyrol also pairs nicely with light Asian cuisine such as sushi or Thai chicken skewers with peanut sauce (satay) in addition to Alpine delicacies such as quail breast with chantrelle mushroom tartare.
Color – Bright with a slightly green shimmer
Nose – Aromas of pineapple, elderberry, gooseberry and honey
Mouth – Mineral, refreshing and balanced
An intensive white wine - not just in colour, but in fragrance and taste. The secret of this white wine lies in the special features of the area in which it is culivated: Lahn in Appiano. These vineyards only produce a small yield, yet what they produce is typified by sustained character and qualtiy. Its delicious and strong aromas, reminiscent of elderberry and honey, leave behind an abundance of lingering sensations on the palate. This wine, served straight from the cellar, makes a huge impression even when served young: a long maturing process in the bottle, however, enhances its density and its complexity.
