Somrus Mango Alphonso |
This one of a kind liqueur, inspired by the finest Alphonso mangoes, pays homage to the classical Indian “Aamrus” (i.e. Mango Shake or “Lassi”). The Alphonso mango, known worldwide as the “King of Mangoes” due to its elegant flavor profile, aroma and texture, is named after a military genius and a Portuguese General, Alfonso de Albuquerque who helped establish Portuguese colonies in India and eventually became the Duke of Goa. The Portuguese are credited with the introduction of grafting technology to India to enable cultivation and reproduction of the finest varieties of mango trees.
The Alphonso is a rare treat as it is harvested for a few weeks during the months of April or May in select regions along the western part of India and therefore commands a premium price. This most sought-after varietal has inspired everything from poetry to award-winning recipes by international celebrity chefs. It is our pleasure to introduce this exquisite taste profile in the form of a premium spirit, SomruS Alphonso Mango, The Original Mango Cream Liqueur. It is best served chilled or in your favorite tropical drink. Try it in a cheesecake, with ice cream, over a bowl of fruit or even on a mango itself. The possibilities are endless!

Delicious Dessert Drink
I love this stuff! It's creamy and delicious, kind of like an alcoholic mango lassi. Wonderful over some ice as a end to the meal, or mixed with a little rum to up the booze content.
