• Peated Speyside single malt Scotch whisky produced by The GlenAllachie Distillery in Aberlour • 100% malted barley peated with mainland peat from St. Fergus, one mile from the North Sea coast (final spirit ppm of 35) • 160-hour fermentation in stainless steel washbacks • Twice distilled in copper pot stills • Aged 5 years in a combination of first-fill bourbon barrels, American virgin oak casks, and ex-rye barrels • White chocolate, mace, cedar, overripe banana, and oxidized lemon on the nose lead to piquant palate of orange peel, arugula, white pepper, and fresh figs with honey. A touch of saline on the finish underscores the pleasant peat throughout. • No added coloring • Non-chill filtered; 50% ABV Representing Meikle Tòir’s “standard peated” spirit aged in varying American oak only, this classic expression showcases the mainland peat so meticulously chosen by the GlenAllachie team to create a benchmark peated Speyside single malt.
