• Single malt Scotch whisky distilled at Lochlea [lock•LEE] in South Ayrshire (Lowlands) • This is the distillery’s ongoing, core single malt expression • 100% malted barley grown on the Lochlea farm and distilled on bespoke Forsyths copper pot stills • Aged in a combination of ex-bourbon, sherry, and STR (shaved, toasted, recharred ex-red wine) barrels; non-age statement • Chewy granola bar and peaches & cream oatmeal on the nose lead to a beautifully curious and creamy palate of ripe bananas and guava with mint leaf followed by cold-pressed olive oil • Gold medalist at the 2023 San Francisco World Spirits Competition • No additives or coloring • Non-chill filtered; 46% ABV Buoyant, nuanced, and luxuriously creamy, this is a strong flagship statement from Lochlea, a new, independently owned distillery that’s guaranteed to expand your conceptions about Lowland whiskies.
