• Speyside single malt Scotch whisky from The GlenAllachie [glen•ALLA•key] in Aberlour • Distilled from 100% malted barley on copper pot stills • Aged a minimum 13 years • Matured in American oak barrels & finished in select Madeira barriques • Apricots, plantains, and almonds on the nose are joined on the palate by treacle, grapefruit, and pineapple • Limited US release of 3792 bottles • No added color • Non-chill filtered; 48% ABV Master Distiller Billy Walker works with producers from all over the world to source outstanding finishing casks. The Madeira barriques used for this expression previously held wine made from Malvasia grapes, a richer style of Madeira, lending balanced, tropical-fruit sweetness to the GlenAllachie house style.
