DESCRIPTION
The 2013 vintage was long and sunny; an ideal season, but drought conditions remained. The dry spring brought concern, but two rainstorms in September alleviated any worry. The Indian summer allowed for long hang times and balanced fruit flavors with great concentration and a healthy crop. Ripe and round with a dark and mysterious side, enveloped in oak. Black fruits, figs and spices on the nose with hints of toasty oak and vanilla bean. The fruit comes through on the palate as blackberry, dried plum, and dark chocolate. It fills your mouth with good structure and long toasted oak and hazelnut finish.Tasting Notes
