The 2016 Vosne Romanee Aux Communes offers lovely mulberry and briary scents on the well-defined bouquet, not a million miles away from the 2014, the 20% whole cluster lending freshness.

The palate is well balanced with a fresh, quite vibrant opening and there is impressive tension and energy for a village cru that carries it over the finish line. This is a worthy follow-up to the last two vintages.
