In the heart of Monferrato, in the city of Nizza Monferrato, is the Antica Casa Vinicola Scarpa. Like the name of the House, nothing has changed here in the last 150 years. The imposing, urban-looking cellar exudes a solid but also very likeable conservatism.
La Briccorosa smells of flowers, iris, chamomile and carnation without ever being intrusive. On the palate a load of very well compacted tannins, lots of vinous fruit, nice acidity. The wine recalls the Piedmontese landscape at every stage of its long journey.
