DESCRIPTION
From organic fruit, no additives until a small dose of sulphur at bottling. Foot sthe Maconnais is the most southern major district for Burgundy. This is a source of large volumes of moderately priced, light, fruity (melon, citrus) Chardonnay wines. Most of these see little to no oak and are sold as Macon.
At the far south of the district, Pouilly-Fuisse offers full-bodied Chardonnay which have an expression of tropical fruit (pineapple, melon) and oak flavors. These come from a series of suntrap slopes. omped then pressed in a wooden basket press.
