Ruby-garnet center with crimson overtones at the rim. The nose starts with dark tones of plum, smoked cranberry, redcurrants, and oolong tea. Licorice, peppered herbs, menthol, and rose petals are prominent on the bold palate.

The tannins are hefty yet ripe, and integrate beautifully with 30 to 60 minutes in a decanter. Ripe and floral on a long spiced finish, showing great Sangiovese character.
