Santa Cristina Umbria Bianco 2018 |
Santa Cristina Bianco shows a straw yellow color. Intensely fruity notes are felt on the nose, the bananas and citrus fruit, typical of both Grechetto and Procanico as varieties, along with candied fruit as well, a characteristic of Viognier. The palate is balanced, tasty, with good freshness and softness and fruity notes which recall the sensations first sensed on the nose.
An excellent spring then assured a normal phase of flowering and bud set. Frequent rainfall from early March to early July preceded sunny weather which lasted until mid-August without, however, excess heat or peak temperatures. Occasional rains during the final fifteen days of the month were followed by rising temperatures during the month of September which assured the harvest of healthy and perfectly ripe grapes.
