This special selection from the Montetinello vineyard offers fresh plum and black cherry fruit. It is penetrating and spicy in aroma, with a long, vigorous, well sustained finish and a medium-weight palate. Montepulciano 70%, Sangiovese 30% aged in large Slavonian oak .
Hints of dried marjoram and star anise are layered with ripe red and black currant fruit in this bright, stylish, medium-bodied red. Light, taut tannins and an underpinning of sweet, loamy earth hold sway on the finish.
