Saint-Julien 2ème Grand Cru Classé 2005 (Case Only)

The Château Léoville Barton Grand Vin is a second growth cru classé from the Saint Julien appellation of Bordeaux.

A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (80%), Merlot (15%) and Cabernet Franc (5%), the wine is aged for between 16 and 18 months in French oak barrels of which 60% are brand new. Still quite closed but showing great promise of both fresh and preserved fruits. Tannin is present but not dominant so the wine will be enjoyable within about 10 years.
