Roux Pere & Fils Mercurey La Perriere 2015

Rich and full-bodied, La Perrière offers cherry, raspberry, and strawberry notes with hints of tobacco and cocoa. This single vineyard is composed of a wide range of soils from limestone to marl to red clay soil, rendering a complex wine. Estate-grown fruit undergoes fermentation on the lees in French oak barrels, followed by an aging period of about 10 months in 50% stainless steel and 50% in French oak.

Tasting Notes: Named after the vineyard from which it was produced, Roux La Perrière is rich and full-bodied and offers cherry, raspberry, and strawberry with hints of tobacco and cocoa. The wine pairs well with steak, lamb, and roast pork, as well as a variety of cheeses.
