The Montee Rouge vineyard earns its name from the reddish hue in the soil due to the high content of iron. This aromatic wine boasts a bouquet of blackberries and cherries, with mild undertones of truffle, leather, and spices developing with age. Juicy, yet firm, this wine rewards extensive aging, revealing more complexity over time. Fermentation takes place on the lees in French oak barrels. The wine is aged for more than a year in French oak barrels.
Tasting Notes: This aromatic wine boasts a bouquet of berries and cherries, which are accented by truffle, leather, and spices as it ages. It’s a solid wine that pairs well with roasted or braised game and powerful cheeses like Munster and Époisses.
