

Roucas Toumba Vacqueyras 'La Grande Terre' 2018 |
After a long period in a cooperative cellar, the estate decided to bottle its wines to produce great local wines, from the 2007 vintage, like this Vacqueyras. Composed of Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre, it reflects these different grape varieties and the soil that produces them. The soils are mainly clay hillsides, giving the wines a deep and graceful texture.
The old Grenache vines, planted on calcareous sandstone bring more tension while the Mourvèdre, on rolled clay pebbles, bring roundness and structure in the mouth. Yields are always measured on the estate and organic farming promotes this natural control of yields as much as the freshness present in the wines. Aging takes place for 8 months in concrete vats,
