The 2020 Rosso di Montalcino from La Colombina is bright and clear in appearance, with a composite ruby color. It represents the style of the production area with bouquets of roses, wild herbs, plums and leather. Silky and rounded, it coats the palate with sensually rich dark red fruits, along with nuances of licorice and spice, while pretty purple flowers form towards the finish.
There is a coating of fine tannins that linger but do not hinder, as the 2020 finishes long but fresh.
