Rich in smoky oak and ripe fruit, showing powerful, dry flavors of blackberries, black cherries, sour cherry candy and sweet herbs. The tannins are a bit scoury and edgy, like sandpaper on the palate. Should mellow over the next 2–3 years, but it's not an ager.
Robert Hall is made up of five separate estates run using sustainable practices that enable them to make the best use of their growing conditions. The red varietals produced at these estates is blended into Robert Hall Meritage Red Wine, which makes for an excellent pairing with red, savory meats such as beef and lamb.
