Beautiful deep primary colour, floral aromas of rose and violet and bright red fruit. The palate is modern, vibrant and harmonious with dark fruits of blackcurrant and plum. From the home of flamenco, paella and tapas, here is a real taste of Spain with all the personality and complexity of the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao.

Classic Tempranillo with all the hallmark, velvety, toasty flavours that have made Rioja such a hit. The grapes come from the old vineyards in La Mancha, rare in such a modestly priced wine, and key to its popularity and recent Trophy winning history. The Tempranillo variety expresses like none other the true spirit of Spain: being powerful and robust, while at the same time delicate and full of attraction. Popular and noble, profound and festive, traditional whilst radically contemporary.

Description

Mouth filling Tempranillo with oodles of personality and utter drinkability, this Real Compania de Vinos is as juicy and fresh as a summer plum straight from the tree. A product of the Murua family, owners of the famous Rioja producer Bodegas Muriel, it's easy to drink and very versatile for entertaining, with food or without, this is best in its youth through 2019.

Smells

Stunningly intense plums, liquorice, boysenberry and vanilla.

Tastes

A tsunami of dark fruit crashes across the tongue, you take only a moment to admire the succulence of the fruit before being wowed by the structure. finely-grained tannins and mouth-watering acidity. The final marvel is the price tag. how do the the Spanish make wines like this? 30 to 70-year-old vines is the answer!
