Ramos Pinto Douro Tinto Duas Quintas 2015 |
Ramos Pinto was established in 1880 and holds the largest proportion of vineyards in the Douro Valley, in relation to their production.
Aged in 30% French oak casks for 13 months, this is a smooth and expressive wine with aromas of damp earth, spices and a hint of tangerine. Soft tannins and great length.
Dense, dark red colour with ruby reflections, clean and bright. It has an expressive, vinous aroma, pronounced with spices and tobacco leaf, sweet peach and orange blossom notes. Its presence is felt in the mouth, with fine tannins and body. These are followed by floral and spicy notes, with a long and strong finish.

Ramos Pinto also proposes wonderful wines, as well as a selection of Douro wines. The "Duas Quintas" is a red wine, made with a coupage of local varieties, grown in the spectacular soils of Quinta de Ervamoira and the granites of Quinta dos Bons Ares. Hence the name "Duas Quintas", to highlight the union of grapes with different and complementary characteristics, which give rise to this wine that express the complexity of the Douro wines and the elegance and excellence of Ramos Pinto.
