Quinta de la Rosa Port Vintage 2012 |
Tasting Notes:
As for many young vintages, the 2012 has a beautiful dark purple colour with rich black cherry aromas. A ‘lighter’ vintage port it shows pretty floral element with cedary undertones on the palate. The brandy is well integrated so there is little of the spirit burn that you often find with young vintages. This vintage is very approachable showing good balance and elegance – a hallmark of La Rosa’s style.
Store and Serve Advices:
The 2012 Vintage will age well for many decades. But it is also approachable and can be consumed as a young vintage port.
Food Pairing:
Drink as a digestif with cheese, chocolates or on its own. Remember to decant the port after it has thrown a deposit. This will happen after it has been a few years in bottle.
