20 year old tawny port from an excellent family-owned producer, who make good unfortified wines as well as ports. This tawny is aged in very old 600-litre oak casks. Pale tawny colour, with a lovely rich and nutty aroma.
Orange, apricot, liquorice. The palate is very fresh, with well judged acidity. There is a balance of fruit and tertiary notes that makes decent 20yo tawnies so compelling. Very long.
