Puerto Viejo Merlot Reserve

The nose shows prominent cherry and blackberry fruit, with underlying hints of forest floor. The palate reveals a juicy, lively and inviting body, followed by a pleasantly clear finish.

Plum ruby hue, cloudy edge, full body with slow crawling legs. Fragrance of wood ear mushroom and cured meat immediately on nose. Tomato, black cherry, sage, ash and au jus broth. Cherry and blueberry present a savory umami meat brine palate seared in olive oil, horseradish and pepper. Black olive, mushroom, leather and cherry serve an intense but medium close. Medium black coffee tannins.
