The 2018 AV Cabernet shows the wild, brambly berry fruit profile that is characteristic Alexander Valley right from the start. Aromas of ripe wild blackberries and cranberries are balanced by a touch of graphite-like minerality. In the mouth, the wine shows dark and intriguing flavors of bittersweet chocolate, espresso, and exotic Chinese five spice powder.
The tannin's are broad and sturdy, giving way to a long and perfumed finish with close and hints of barrel smoke. Food Pairing Enjoy this classic Alexander Valley Cab with a pepper steak and grilled asparagus.
