Portelli relies on traditional agricultural techniques that has similarities with Biodynamic winemaking with regards to the vegetative cycle, the moon and organic fertilization. They believe that their zone provides a perfect environment for the making of natural wines.
The Portelli Cerasuolo di Vittoria is a blend of 70% Nero d'Avola and 30% Frappato fermented and aged in stainless steel vats. The wine is intensely fruity with concentrated blackberry and black cherry flavors, a dusty mineral undertone and suave yet firm structure. Enjoy with braised rabbit with rosemary and mushrooms or a Penne all'Arrabbiata.
