Poderi Sanguineto I & II IGT Toscano Rosso 2020 |
It should come as no surprise that Dora Forsoni has no interest in making a rosato that fits in with the current market trend of pale, pink, and delicate Provence style rosé. Dora makes this unabashedly traditional Italian Rosato from a rented parcel planted to 100% Sangiovese that is farmed with the same organic practices and attention to detail as the estate vineyards are.
Made with via direct press, the wine sports a deep, slightly translucent color in the glass; its structure is suited more to food rather than as an aperitif with whispery tannins and focused acidity supporting succulent cherry fruit and Mediterranean herbs. If you are still craving a rosé as we head into the fall months look no further!
