Poderi Luigi Einaudi Barolo Costa Grimaldi 2012

Fermented in steel tanks under strict temperature control (30°C-32°C), post-fermentation maceration, racked after 20/22 days, decanted, then gotten induced malolactic treatment and completed always at a controlled temperature. Matured in barriques and oak casks totally for thirty months, then refinement in bottles for one year.

Grape variety: Nebbiolo

Tasting notes : Dark ruby, nose expresses notes of passionate flowers and delicate notes of ripe fruit, watermelon, tamarind and orange peel. A spicy trace opens to a tense, wide, elegant taste from the rich tannic texture. Powerful, it closes with a certain freshness a very long and tasty finish.

Matches : At all meals, Barolo dei Poderi Einaudi is red wine that accompanies second courses of red meat, roasted and braised, game or medium-aged cheeses, perhaps at the end of the meal.
