Podere Ruggeri Corsini Barbera d'Alba Superiore Armujan 2009

The wine opens with an intense dark nose, full of tar, ash, volcanic soil, roses with tertiary barnyard aromas with more time. Fresh and precise.

Same on the palate with lots of ripe red and especially dark fruit, licorice, tar and iron minerality, spices, well balanced by fresh mountain herbs/flowers as well as a nice tertiary aromas floating around. Strong tannin structure with mellow tannins and a bright acidity, good length, intensity and precision.
