Place In The Sun Sauvignon Blanc 2014 |
Place in the Sun is a range of Fairtrade Wines, the grapes for which are grown by the Carinus Family in the Stellenbosch Wine Appellation. Perfect grape growing climate with the grapes growing on trellised vineyards and the cooling breezes of False Bay playing such a major part in the ripening processes of the grapes allowing for a longer hang time to build up masses of flavour and in the case of the reds, greater colour.
Bright, crisp and fresh, our Sauvignon Blanc is bursting with pineapple, passion fruit and other tropical flavors. The best way to enjoy this gorgeously crisp white wine is with green salads, fish and pasta dishes (without cream). It's a fresh-tasting wine that can be enjoyed every day and goes down just as well on its own as it does when enjoyed with friends.
It looks like: Gem bright pale straw with lime green flashes around the edges.
It smells like: Wonderful fresh granadilla, ripe winter melon and other tropical fruits.
It tastes like: Tropical fruits following through from the nose, desiccated pineapple, crisp fresh and zingy.
It’s good with: Great as a glass on its own as an aperitif. Hayden Quinn, marine biologist, cook. Goats Cheese, Pea and Lemon Risotto is perfect match for this wine.
