Rita Hills AVA) • Sourced from block 6W (.96 acres) • Planted by Richard Sanford (of Sanford & Benedict Vineyard) in 2000 • Elder clay loam over shale soils • Hand-harvested • Native yeast fermentation in 25hl wood vat • 50% whole-cluster • 18-day-maceration with punch-downs and pump-overs • Aged 13 months in 228L French barriques (50% new) • Bottled unfiltered and unfined • 135 cases produced • 13.5% abv
