Perrier-Jouet Champagne Belle Epoque Rose Luminous 2006 |
Perrier-Jouët was founded in 1811 in Epernay by Pierre-Nicolas-Marie Perrier and his wife, Adele Jouët. One of the most prestigious houses in Champagne, the firm was shipping wine to Great Britain by 1813 and to the United States by 1837. The quintessence of the Perrier-Jouët terroir, in its purest form. A pale yellow hue, luminous and enticing, with fine bubbles.Fragrances of astonishing richness, a delicate and elegant complexity.
The initial aromas of white flowers (hawthorn) are subtly accentuated by hints of citrus (lemon, zest of candied grapefruit, bergamot orange). Mineral (chalky) notes unfurl across the Acacia honey. The delicate texture offers up a wide range of aromas: flowers, citrus and tropical fruits (grapefruit and fresh ginger). Roundness and charm complete the tasting for a fine long finish.
